The traditional MIE topics will be complemented by special tracks focusing on:
 - ‘Telemedicine and the eHealth Consumer’,
 - ‘Scandinavian Health Informatics’
 - ‘Informatics competencies’

Hospital visit

During the opening day at Akershus University Hospital the program will include a tour trough the hospital with focus on Health Care of the Future (HP Global Centre of Excellence), Integrated EHR, and radiology.

Exhibition

Both a commercial and non-commercial exhibition will be organized. Companies, technology clusters and organisations working in the field of ICT in health care and health technologies are invited to present their products and services. The exhibition will be integrated with the poster presentations. Coffee and tea breaks will be held in the exhibition area. Please contact the  local organising committee for details:

Language

English is the official language of the conference. Some of the presentations in the Scandinavian Health Informatics track may be in a Scandinavian language.

Accepted full papers will be part of the MEDLINE indexed proceedings, and all accepted contributions; papers, posters, panels, demonstrations, short communications and workshops will be available in electronic format.

 

Invitation for submissions

The Scientific Programme Committee invites participants to submit their contribution for oral presentation, poster presentation, panel, workshop, short communication, late breaking news or demonstration. Please see the conference website for details about types and categories of submissions.

Submission opens October 15. 2010, and closes January 30. 2011 Please prepare your contribution according to the instructions found at the website: www.MIE2011.org.

For final acceptance of a contribution the presenting author must be registered as delegate to MIE2011.

Awards and prizes

Various awards and prizes will be offered for contributions of outstanding quality, including the Peter Reichertz Prize, the Rolf Hansen Prize, and Best Poster Award.
